How to Install?
Step1: Substrate Preparation
Clean the slab, remove debris and sharp bumps, ensure it’s dry, level low spots with mortar, and acclimate the rolls on-site for 24 hours.
Step 2 — Wall Perimeter Isolation Strip
Install a vertical isolation strip around the wall base, and turn the underlayment up the wall to at least the finished floor height — this breaks the sound bridge and stops vibration from traveling into the wall.
Step 3 — Lay Sound Insulation Underlayment
Start from the room corner, butt the edges together without overlap, keep seams within 1 mm, and tape all seams tightly to prevent dust or mortar from entering and creating a sound bridge.
Step 4 — Install Top Flooring
Three options shown in cross-section — floating wood floor (lay loose, no glue), glue-down PVC/LVT (dot-glue only, no full coating), and carpet (direct lay over sealed underlayment).
Step 5 — Finishing
Keep the underlayment flap behind the baseboard — do not cut it off during installation. Trim the excess flap only after the entire job is complete
